Unicadde Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of the Unicadde app and related services. Account use, rights in your content and the parties' responsibilities are explained below. Service-provider and contact details appear in section 6.

1. Service and acceptance

Unicadde provides posts, comments, listings, profiles and recipient-approved messaging for university communities. The current release is free and ad-free. Including university information does not indicate official cooperation with that institution.

The Terms and Community Rules are accepted through separate choices in the app; the accepted version and time are recorded. You can read the complete documents before acceptance and access your accepted version in the app. The Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice are informational. Marketing and processing that require explicit consent are subject to separate permission.

2. Age condition and account security

You must be at least 18 and accurately declare that you meet this condition. Reasonable doubts about age eligibility may result in review, restrictions or account closure.

In the app, you can sign in with Google, Apple or your email address and password. When registering with an email address and password, you must verify your address. Add another sign-in method only through the secure account-linking step. Changing your email requires verification of both the old and new address; it does not change the email in your Google/Apple account. Google/Apple sign-in is not student verification. Do not share your password or verification codes.

Your account is personal; use your own contact details and protect your session. Selling/transferring accounts, impersonation and creating accounts to evade enforcement are prohibited. Report suspected unauthorized access to support@unicadde.com. Never send passwords or verification codes to anyone, including support.

3. Profiles and student badges

University and program selections are generally self-declared. The optional student badge may be granted through either verification of access to an .edu.tr mailbox using a code sent to that address or an authorized operator's review of current enrollment evidence. The email method does not prove current student status or affiliation with the selected university; the address need not match the university selected in the profile. For the manual method, the operator compares the selected university with a current enrollment screen shown in person or verifiable current enrollment information provided to the applicant by the institution. No copy of a document, card, photo or enrollment screen is collected or retained. The badge is not official identity verification or university certification. An .edu.tr address cannot be verified for multiple accounts.

In Istanbul time, January–September verifications last until 00:00 on 1 November of the same year; October–December verifications last until 00:00 on 1 November of the following year. For example, verification in March 2026 expires on 1 November 2026, while verification in October 2026 expires on 1 November 2027. Badge expiry does not close your account.

Hiding your profile's post list hides only that list from other users. Feed visibility follows the relevant sharing scope. The Privacy Policy explains visibility, liker lists and privacy of personal history.

4. Anonymous features and messaging

Anonymous presentation hides your account identity from other users in supported posts, comments and messages. Listings use an identified account. Anonymous account links remain subject to restricted, separately authorized and recorded access for safety and legally valid requests.

  • Anonymous posts, new anonymous comments and new anonymous message requests each have a separate weekly allowance of five. Allowances renew at 00:00 on Monday, Istanbul time.
  • Student verification is required only for creating anonymous posts. Users who complete account setup may start anonymous comments and requests without a student badge.
  • Anonymous comments are available only under anonymous posts. Replies in an anonymous comment thread you started do not use a new allowance.
  • Rejected or cancelled anonymous requests do not refund an allowance. Continuing messages in an accepted chat do not use a new allowance. Spam and enforcement controls apply separately.

Contact starts with a recipient-approved request consisting of one text of up to 500 characters. The initial request must not contain phone numbers, email, social-media accounts, location, sensitive personal data or media. Two identified users cannot have a second pending request to the same recipient. Bypassing rejection or a block through another account is prohibited.

Continuing an accepted, available conversation in the same direction from an anonymous sender to the same identified recipient does not need a new request/allowance. An identified chat alone does not authorize anonymous contact. Reverse-direction contact or a separate anonymous identity needs a new request, recipient acceptance and the applicable allowance. Anonymous aliases are conversation-specific. The identified recipient reached through a profile is known to the sender; contact through anonymous content does not disclose that author's account identity.

Chats are text-based and are not end-to-end encrypted. Recipients may turn off anonymous-message reception or block new anonymous contact from a sender; these actions do not block identified communication as a whole. A reversible block of only the relevant chat stops new messages in both directions; each person may lift only their own block. Permanently ending an anonymous conversation is separate: it cannot reopen, and later contact requires a new request and acceptance.

Hiding or muting a chat is not deletion. Removing a message or conversation only from your own view does not erase the other's history; later new messages start new visible history for you. You may remove your own message from both views; external recipient copies and necessary limited review/legal preservation remain separate. Personal chat labels are visible only to your account. The Privacy Policy explains private-message review.

5. Content responsibility and permission

You must hold the necessary rights/permissions for your content and comply with the Community Rules and law. Anonymous/private sharing follows the same safety rules. Others' personal data and private correspondence must not be shared without valid permission or a legal basis.

You retain rights in your content. To provide the service, you give Unicadde non-exclusive, royalty-free permission limited to:

  • Reproduction for storage, backups and presentation.
  • Technical processing necessary for format, size, accessibility, security and moderation.
  • Representation and digital communication to your selected user scope.
  • Technical distribution required only by a downloadable/distributable feature you choose.

Permission applies in the geographic areas where the service is provided while the content remains in the service. Technical providers may use it only to the extent needed to deliver the service. It is not a rights transfer or permission to sell content as independent advertising material. Necessary limited legal preservation and backup use may continue after deletion; copies are not republished publicly.

The Unicadde brand, software, design and service materials belong to the relevant rights-holders. Unauthorized copying, brand use, automated scraping and bypassing access boundaries are prohibited; mandatory legal rights remain available.

6. Service provider and contact

Yunus Emre Demirbaş provides the service under the Unicadde brand. References to the service provider in these Terms mean that person.

  • General support and appeals: support@unicadde.com
  • Legal notices: legal@unicadde.com
  • Personal-data applications: kvkk@unicadde.com
  • Security and abuse: security@unicadde.com

Email communication does not replace special application or formal-service procedures under applicable law. Copyright and child-safety channels appear below.

7. Listings and transactions between users

Existence, condition, price and other important listing information must be accurate and current. Unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous or regulated goods/services prohibited by the Community Rules must not be offered.

Unicadde is not the buyer, seller, payment/escrow provider, guarantor or delivery party in users' transactions. Parties verify the goods and conditions themselves. Pressuring someone into off-platform payment or disclosure of personal information is prohibited. This explanation does not exclude the provider's mandatory obligations under applicable law.

8. Safety, moderation and appeals

Unicadde has zero tolerance for objectionable content and harassment or abusive use. Content confirmed to violate these rules is removed or access to it is restricted; accounts engaged in abuse are restricted, suspended or permanently closed according to the seriousness of the violation. Anonymity does not exempt a user from enforcement.

Automated checks, user reports and authorized human review are used together. Reports are prioritized by risk. Review considers seriousness, context, repetition and potential harm and may result in content removal/restriction, warnings, feature restrictions, suspension or permanent closure. Prior warning is not required for serious child-safety issues, imminent violence, sexual exploitation, serious personal-data exposure or serious fraud.

You may report content/users and block users in the app. Appeal to support@unicadde.com with information that safely identifies your account, the decision date and your reasons. Where possible, review is separate from the original decision. Reasons/results are provided within safety, legal and privacy limits; statutory remedies remain available.

Send copyright reports to telif@unicadde.com, identifying the rights-holder/representative, relevant right or work, information/link locating the content and a statement of accuracy. Clarification may be requested; rights to approach competent authorities remain available.

Child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming and sexualizing minors are prohibited. When such content becomes known, access is removed/blocked without delay, the relevant account is restricted, necessary evidence is preserved and reporting to competent authorities is pursued under applicable law. In Türkiye, criminal reports may be made to a public prosecutor's office or law-enforcement authorities. The child-safety contact is childsafety@unicadde.com. Do not redistribute harmful images; call 112 in imminent danger.

10. Account deletion and ending the service

Delete your account in the app or through the account-deletion page. Ownership verification and final approval are required; an approved request is irreversible, with no 30-day reopening period. The Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice explain retention and technical deletion.

Serious/repeated violations, illegality, safety risks or enforcement evasion may lead to restrictions or closure. Where possible and safe, reasons and an appeal route are provided.

11. Service changes and liability limits

Features may change proportionately, or the service may stop temporarily, for security, maintenance, legal or objective service needs. Changes materially affecting users' rights are announced with reasonable notice, except urgent safety/legal needs; new contract acceptance is requested where necessary. Existing acceptance records are preserved. New paid features or marketing permissions do not apply automatically through this contract.

The service is provided with reasonable technical care, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation or the accuracy of user declarations/content or transactions. This clause does not exclude intent, gross negligence, bodily harm, mandatory consumer/personal-data rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Governing law

Turkish law applies. Rights to approach legally competent authorities, consumer arbitration bodies/courts and mandatory jurisdiction rights based on the user's residence are preserved. Contacting support is not a prerequisite for approaching an authority. Important new contract versions are clearly shown in the app; visiting this page does not change your existing acceptance record.
